The Kronplatz (or Plan de Corones in Italian) rises 2,257 metres above sea level and lends its name to the holiday region in the heart of the Dolomites. The Kronplatz region includes the localities of Bruneck, Reischach, St. Vigil in Enneberg, Olang, St. Lorenzen, Gsiesertal, Rasen / Antholzertal, Antholz, Kiens, Pfalzen, Uttenheim, Percha, Welsberg and Taisten.
The attractive scenery of this region lies at an altitude of 786 to 1650 m. Three of South Tyrol’s seven national parks are in the Kronplatz holiday region alone: the Fanes-Sennes Prags national park, the Puez-Geisler national park and the Rieserferner-Ahrn national park with its impressive three-thousand metre peaks.
In the winter, the town of Bruneck’s local mountain, the Kronplatz, is one of the most popular and biggest ski areas in South Tyrol. 20 cable cars, 6 chair lifts and 5 draglifts operate daily, taking people up the mountain almost without having to wait. And a total of 110 km of prepared pistes delights guests with the many different possibilities for indulging in winter sport. There is something just right to meet every requirement.
