Enjoy an unforgettable trip, journeying from Bruneck to Toblach, though the Höhlenstein Valley and up to the Drei Zinnen, then back to Lake Misurina, on to Cortina d’Ampezzo, via the Falzarego pass to St. Kassian and through the Gad Valley back to Bruneck.
In Neustift, Brixen (or Bressanone in Italian), you should visit the monastery with its collegiate church, cloister and library. In Brixen itself, there is the Bishop’s Palace, the Diocesan and Nativity museum, Brixen Cathedral and plenty of shops.
The regional capital Bozen (or Bolzano in Italian), is waiting for you with the Museum of Archaeology and Ötzi the Iceman and the other things found with him, Museion – the museum of contemporary art, winding alleys, arcades, the parish church, the Waltherplatz square, the fruit market and the MMM – Messner Mountain Museum Firmian. Don’t miss a stroll around the town too.
In the spa-town of Meran (or Merano) in the western part of South Tyrol, you can see the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, the new thermal baths and the Touriseum, which documents 200 eventful years in the history of tourism in Tyrol.
On Lake Garda, you will find a Mediterranean climate, olives, palm trees and citrus fruits! For families, we recommend the amusement park, Gardaland, and the water park, Canevaworld!
Verona is the setting for Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”! Visit Juliet’s house and balcony, the Piazza Bra and Piazza delle Erbe, the arena and in the summer months, you can also go and watch an opera performance!
The lagoon city of Venice with St Mark’s Square, the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge and a gondola ride through the canals should not be missed!
